Using this website

Agreement to these terms

By using the website, you agree to follow these terms and the Privacy Policy.

These terms apply to this website and its account, programme, event, membership-interest, and community features. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant feature. Shishtra Foundation operates the website under the public-facing name Shistra Foundation.

What the site provides

Programme and website information

The site shares educational information and ways to contact or participate with the Foundation.

The website may describe learning programmes, events, membership opportunities, volunteer activities, partnerships, and community features. Programme descriptions and schedules can change. Activities that require school, institutional, venue, or other permissions remain subject to those permissions and any applicable rules.

Membership and payments

An application is not a completed purchase

The current website records interest and does not process membership payments.

Submitting a membership application or selecting a programme records your interest for the Foundation to review. Your membership is not confirmed until the Foundation confirms it. The current site does not collect payment card, bank, or UPI details and does not complete a commercial checkout. Any contribution, fee, payment method, or refund terms must be confirmed separately by the Foundation before payment is due. Do not send payment credentials through a website form.

Age and consent

Participants aged 8–17

A parent or legal guardian must consent before a minor uses the site or joins an activity.

The website and programmes are intended for people aged 8 and older. If you are 8–17, you may create an account, submit information, or participate only after a parent or legal guardian has given permission. Parents and guardians should supervise a minor’s use of the site and are responsible for helping them understand these terms.

Accounts

Keeping your account safe

Provide accurate information and protect your sign-in details.

When you create an account, provide information that is accurate and keep your sign-in credentials private. Tell the Foundation if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.

Community conduct

Use the site responsibly

Do not misuse the site or submit content that harms others.

Do not use the site for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, impersonation, unauthorised access, disruption, or attempts to interfere with the website or its users. Do not post material that violates another person’s rights or disclose another person’s personal information without permission. Community submissions may be reviewed, approved, hidden, or removed by the Foundation.

Content and permissions

Your submissions and Foundation materials

You keep your rights in original content you submit, while giving the Foundation permission to operate the feature.

You are responsible for content you submit and must have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You give the Foundation a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, review, display, and otherwise use your submission as needed to operate the website and the programme or community feature for which you provided it. Approved community posts and public-page images may be visible to visitors. The Foundation’s name, logos, website design, and original materials belong to the Foundation or their respective rights holders and may not be reused in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

External services

Third-party links and sign-in

External services have their own terms and privacy practices.

The website may link to third-party websites or offer sign-in through providers such as Google or X where enabled. Those services are not controlled by the Foundation. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Availability and advice

Information is provided for general education

The site is not a substitute for professional advice or a guarantee of programme availability.

We aim to keep information accurate and useful, but programme details, schedules, and website features may change or be temporarily unavailable. Educational content is for general information and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Responsibility

Limits permitted by law

Nothing in these terms removes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Foundation is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website, third-party services, or temporary unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Changes and governing law

Updates to these terms

The latest version will be available on this page.

We may update these terms when the website, programmes, or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an update means you agree to the updated terms, subject to rights under applicable law. These terms are governed by the laws of India. For questions, contact shishtrafoundation@gmail.com or write to Shishtra Foundation, 125, Mutthiganj (Hatia), Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh 211003, India.
